The Shenzhen city government will provide the institute with relevant policies and scientific research funds, as well as make room for the institute in the city's Longhua district.
The city will also support UESTC to jointly build an industrial technology research institute on electronic information with local vocational technical institutes, and to explore new mechanisms for industry-study-research cooperation.
UESTC will also set up academician workstations, national high-level talent work platforms, and post-doctoral workstations in Shenzhen, as well as build high-end think tanks and talent training bases in the field of electronic information, according to the agreement.
In addition, UESTC will bring scientific and technological achievements that are in accordance with the development of strategic emerging industries and future industries in Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to Shenzhen for further incubation, transformation, and industrialization.
